Raising money for any student organization is always a hassle and it has to be planned like a Military Battle. Hopefully, our Chapter of Delta Epsilon Chi has found a fundraiser that will take most of the hassle out of it, and still leave us with a good profit.
So let me tell you about Funding Factory. They support Education and Non-profit Organizations by buying and recycleing empty printer cartridges and cell phones. They provide nearly everything. The boxes to ship them in, the flyers to hand out, letters to send out to businesses, etc etc. The one thing they don’t provide is the leg work. It’s up to the organizations to convince people to donate their use cartridges instead of getting that free ream of paper or rebate from your local office supply store.
The one great thing is that it is very easy for businesses to support organizations. Funding Factory’s system is set up so you can create an account for your company and give all of your “points” to another group. For more information go to: http://fundingfactory.com/programs/recycling/supporters.aspx (Our group number is 101654 if you would like to support us )
If you would like more information about signing your organization up to use this fundraiser, just check out the information online at http://www.fundingfactory.com. Please put in our Organization ID when you register (101654) because they do provide incentives for telling your friends about the fundraiser. But I would highly recommend it even without the incentives, after all, this is one of the few fundraisers I’ve found that provides this volume of promotion materials.
